Jimmy Eat World

School has suffocated my life as of late, and for that I’m sorry.

Bleed American was, and is, an album that evokes an unbelievable amount of memories. Which is a testament to the weight it carried. The songs were basic pop-rock at heart, but their simplicity allowed for me to fill in the gaps with my own emotion and thought. (Very hypothetical, school is clearly leaving its mark).

However, Jimmy Eat World disappointed with their next few albums; maybe because I was no longer young and vulnerable to pop melodies and overdriven guitars, or maybe because they just sucked. Either way, I can’t help get excited about Invented (releasing next week) after hearing what has been offered up.
